Catholic bishops met to discuss a revision of their “no-tolerance” policy for sexual abuse of children after the Vatican expressed reservations about the policy being too harsh and not recognizing ideas of Christian redemption. In the meeting they defended their policy but allowed for church tribunals to hear cases of clerics who maintained their innocence. close
