Gov. Mark Warner spoke at the South Carolina Democratic Party’s First Annual Governor’s Appreciation Dinner that took place at the Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston. The event honored four former Democratic governors of the state: Governors Jim Hodges, Ernest F. Hollings, Robert McNair, and Richard Riley.

Before the event started, Governor Warner responded to questions and comments from reporters about when he might make a decision on the 2008 election. He also discussed the situation in Iraq and energy policies. Then, he spoke at the dinner about issues on the Democratic Agenda and his life experiences, including his co-founding of Nextel. close
