Carl Colglazier talked about his video, The Great Compromise, the grand prize winner in C-SPAN Classroom's StudentCam documentary contest. His film addressed partisanship and compromise in Congress. Carl is a home schooled eighth grader from Cary, North Carolina.

Historian Don Ritchie also talked about the subject of Carl's video and responded to viewer telephone calls and electronic communications.

C-SPAN Classroom's StudentCam video documentary contest was a national competition in which middle and high school students produced a documentary focusing on an issue, event, or topic that helped them better understand the role of the federal government in their life or community.
