The YMCA released the results of a national child care study. The speakers decried what they viewed as insufficient availability of affordable quality child care, and urged the appropriation of additional federal funds for child care. Among the other issues addressed were the benefits of various types of child care, the role of the YMCA, and the economic effects of child care availability.
