The National Building Museum & American Institute of Architects hosted this recognition of the retiring Architect of the Capitol George White. Mr. White recently turned 75 years old, and is only the ninth person to ever hold this position. Mr. White was first appointed by President Richard M. Nixon in 1971. Guests included U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, Daniel Boorstin, Librarian Of Congress Emeritus, and Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, D-New York. close
