The spouses of leading presidential candidate from both parties talked about juggling their families, careers, and personal lives while managing the public demands of their husbands' presidential bids. Topics included their roles in the campaigns, protecting their husband’s image, managing the children’s schedules, protecting privacy, emotional support, and influence on policy. Maria Shriver, California’s first lady and host of the Women’s Conference 2007, moderated the conversation at the Long Beach Convention Center.

Former President Bill Clinton and Judith Giuliani declined the invitation, citing scheduling conflicts. close
