Dr. Freeman is chairman of the President’s Cancer Panel, an advisory group established by Congress that reports directly to the president on progress and problems in cancer treatment in the U.S. This was the seventh and last of a series of public hearings held around the country to hear testimony from caregivers, advocates and cancer victims and survivors. This meeting was for the Virginia, Maryland and District of Columbia area. close
