Ambassador Nancy G. Brinker, founding chair of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, talked about her opposition to the federal breast cancer screening guidelines released the previous week by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force. The task force recommended that self breast examinations and annual mammograms for women in their 40s are unnecessary. Following Ambassador Brinker’s remarks she responded to questions submitted by members of the audience. close
