Joe Gaylord, the strategist for the 1994 Republican majority in Congress, talked about organizing political campaigns. Some of his suggestions included defining

the changes to be made, how the changes will be accomplished, speaking in everyday language instead of political jargon, and limiting use of statistics.

“Organizing a Team to Win” was a session at the first annual GOPAC State and Local Summit held at the Marriott Key Bridge in Arlington, Virginia. The objective of the summit was to provide tools, techniques, and talking points for state legislative campaigns for the 2008 election. close
