James Antle discussed the state of the campaigns for the 2016 presidential nominations. He said that even though presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump had by unofficial counts surpassed the number of delegates needed to secure the Republican nomination, there was still a viable movement to find an alternative candidate. A clip was shown of Donald Trump speaking the previous day. He also spoke about House Speaker Paul Ryan’s (R-WI) role in the election. Topics included the continuing Democratic primary contest and the inspector general’s report on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s emails and the impact the Libertarian Party could have on the 2016 general election as it held its nominating convention that weekend in Orlando, Florida. He responded to telephone calls and electronic communications, including a telephone line reserved for Libertarian voters.

The program concluded with a video clip of a visitor to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on May 26, 2016. close
