Mr. Leibowitz spoke about the financial side of the cable industry. He has recently written a report titled, Cable: The Risk, the Reward, the Bottom Line. He examined the impact of the deregulation of the telecommunications industry on the cable industry, especially its stock prices. He concluded that the industry would continue to see increasing revenues, though more from new services than new subscribers. After his remarks, he took questions from the audience. close
