President Obama spoke with James McNerney about international trade and the global economy. He said the new governments in Greece and Italy were “positive developments” and should have a calming effect on world financial markets and the euro zone crisis. He also said China should “play by the rules” if it wanted to compete in the global economy commenting on its currency rate standards and lack of respect for intellectual property rights.
