With the vice president and members of his cabinet standing behind him, President Bush talked about his administration’s agenda as Congress and the president leave Washington for the August recess. He said that, “together with Congress we are proving that a new tone, clear agenda and active leadership can bring significant progress to the nation’s capitol.” He talked about his legislative accomplishments thus far.
