Several authors who were also World War II veterans and faculty members discussed the bureaucratic role in war. They also reflected on their personal experiences during the war. Mr. Vonnegut delivered remarks focused primarily on his experiences in Dresden as a prisoner of war when it was bombed by the Allies which he wrote about in Slaughterhouse Five. Then there was discussion among the panelists and questions from the audience. This part of the 50th anniversary celebration of the founding of Florida State University.
