A memorial service was held for the victims of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City and on the Pentagon in Washington, DC. Live shots were shown of Queen Elizabeth’s arrival and of a large crowd of people outside the cathedral. Former prime ministers Margaret Thatcher and John Major and many other British leaders and dignitaries could be seen in the congregation.
