Richard Gardner, counsel for the National Rifle Association, talked about the legislative status of the Brady bill, a measure that requires a five day waiting period for handgun purchases. Dennis Henigan, general counsel for Handgun Control, Inc., talked about the parliamentary procedures being used by a small number of Republicans to stall the bill. Mr. Henigan predicted the Brady Bill will ultimately pass, citing that 90% of Americans are in favor of it. close
