The bronze sculpture, “The Boy Lincoln,” was unveiled in the Hodgenville, Kentucky, town square. The life-size sculpture depicts Abraham Lincoln shortly before his eighth birthday. His dog, Honey, is included.

The sculpture group, Daub-Firmin-Hendrickson of Berkeley, California, created the sculpture. Lead sculptors Robert Firmin and Eugene Daub installed the sculpture and participated in the unveiling. The City of Hodgenville, LaRue County, and Preservation of Lincoln’s Heritage, Inc., provided the sculpture, with funding from the Kentucky Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission through the Kentucky Arts Council. close
