Kramerbooks owners, bookseller representatives and others held a news conference to protest Kenneth Starr’s subpoena of book purchases by Monica Lewinsky. They stated that this violated personal privacy and stressed their hope that a judge would uphold their motion to quash the subpoena. Starr has also subpoenaed Lewinsky purchase records from a Barnes & Noble store in Georgetown. close
