Ken Auletta also served as the master of ceremonies.
The Saturday book and author luncheon was a noon event at the annual BookExpo America, held in the Special Events Hall of the the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City.
At the beginning of the program, Tom Benton accepted the Publishers Weekly's Sales Rep of the Year Award and Carol Besse and Michael Boggs of Carmichael’s Bookstore in Louisville, Kentucky, accepted the Publishers Weekly's Bookseller of the Year award. There were brief audio difficulties.
