A memorial ceremony for victims and families in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to mark the 10th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing was held at the First United Methodist Church near the memorial site. Officials including Vice President Dick Cheney, former President Bill Clinton, and Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry spoke about the tragedy, the need for vigilance in efforts to combat terrorism, and the national significance of the memorial site.

Throughout the ceremony exterior scenes of the memorial and museum located at the site of the former Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building were shown. After the service attendees were led to the memorial site by a bagpiper who joined a traditional pipe band as the victims' families laid flowers on monumental chairs erected in their honor. close
