Panelists talked about Stanley Tookie William’s memoir, "Blue Rage, Black Redemption: A Memoir", published by Touchstone.Stanley Tookie Williams was the co-founder of the Los Angeles gang the Crips and was sentenced to Death Row in 1981. During his time in prison, Mr. Williams became an anti-gang activist and was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize five times for his work.

A panel of former colleagues and friends discussed Mr. Williams' memoir, “Blue Rage, Black Redemption.” The panelists included former gang member Melvin Hardy, former California State Senator Tom Hayden, Actor Mike Farrell, and Barbara Becnel who wrote the epilogue to the book. close
