Paul Muolo talked about the book he co-authored, Chain of Blame: How Wall Street Caused the Mortgages & Credit Crisis, which examines in detail how Wall Street firms, in an interest to gain more of the housing market, encouraged mortgage banks and lenders to increase the amount of subprime mortgages that went on the market. The book also examines the history of subprime lenders; the influence that recently passed regulation will have on the industry. Mr. Muolo responded to telephone calls and electronic mail.
