During the fourth day of Governor Rod Blagojevich’s impeachment trial before the Illinois Senate Governor Rod Blagojevich did not testify, but made his own closing argument. In his remarks he refuted articles of impeachment and argued against his removal from office by the Illinois Senate. He focused on ways in which he had aided citizens and improved health care, flatly denied any wrong doing, and said that the impeachment and trial had been an unfair process. close
