The Illinois House of Representatives debated articles of impeachment for Governor Rod Blagojevich. The articles accused the governor of several acts of abuse of power and corruption involving using his office to influence various state and private projects, as well as selling an appointment to the U.S. Senate. Following the debate the legislature voted 114 to 1 in favor of impeachment.
