Coalition members unveiled a 21st Century Mayflower Compact that is dedicated to strengthening the health and well-being of black America. The Compact itself was read by Frederick Douglass IV. Each item of the platform was read by a different coalition member. This “citizens' responsibility movement” is intended to preserve and better all families, faiths, education, and economic stability in a culture of personal responsibility and renewed commitment under God. The Compact was signed by Coalition members.
