The former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Warren Burger addressed an audience at the Center for the Study of the Presidency on the 200th anniversary of the Bill of Rights. Chief Justice Burger called the Bill of Rights “the Great Afterthought,” and talked about the creation and invocation of the Bill of Rights throughout American history to the present day. Following his prepared remarks, Chief Justice Burger responded to questions from members of the audience. close
