The Association of American University Presses organized a panel to present the 35 best books published by various university presses in 2001. The books were chosen by a committee of librarians representing the American Associaton of School Libraries and the Public Library Association. Each of the eight panel members gave a brief description of four or five of the selected titles, on subjects ranging from Latin American art to atomic science.
