Johan Van Overtveldt talked about his book Bernanke’s Test: Ben Bernanke, Alan Greenspan, and the Drama of the Central Banker (Agate B2; January 27, 2009) in conversation with Greg Burns. He also responded to questions from members of the audience throughout the program. The focus was on the role of banks in the current financial crisis and the actions of the chairmen of the Federal Reserve.

Johan Van Overtveldt is the director of the Belgium-based economic think tank VKW Metena. Formerly editor-in-chief of the Belgian newsmagazine Trends, he has written several books in Dutch, and contributes to the Wall Street Journal Europe and other publications. He is the author of The Chicago School: How the University of Chicago Assembled the Thinkers Who Revolutionized Economics and Business.
