Republican members of the House Select Committee on Events Surrounding the 2012 Terrorist Attack in Benghazi spoke to the press as they released the committee report on the administration response to the September 11, 2012, attack on the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, in which four Americans died including Ambassador Christopher Stevens. This was the final report of the committee established in June 2014. The Democratic members of the committee had released a minority report the previous day. Committee Chair Trey Gowdy (R-SC) said that the report did not place blame on anybody and urged everyone to read the report and draw their own conclusions. close
