Jill Abramson, the editor of Legal Times, and Tim O’Brien, a correspondent with ABC, spoke C-SPAN host Connie Doebele about the issues before the Supreme Court in 1988. According to Ms. Abramson and Mr. O’Brien the biggest problem facing the Court in 1988 was the open seat on the court which left the most contentious decisions at 4-4 gridlock. close
