Republican Presidential Candidate Gary Bauer announced his withdrawal from the race
for the presidency. Mr. Bauer talked about the themes of his campaign,
specifically the need to reform the educational system and
the nature of individual wealth and taxes in the United States. He expressed pleasure at the conservative effect that he had on the dialogue of the presidential campaign. He refrained from endorsing any of the remaining republican candidates. After his remarks he responded to questions from reporters.
