As part of the annual Bretton Woods Committee meeting titled, “A New Vision for World Bank-Private Sector Partnerships,” Secretary Rubin spoke about the importance of the World Bank to the United States. He stressed the importance of public and private support of the World Bank, International Monetary Fund and similar institutions and the further progress in developing countries to the U.S. economy.
