Kenneth Lewis talked about the financial crisis and economic slowdown of 2008. His focus was not on Wall Street, where investment banks have been disappearing, but the impact on Main Street banks, where tight credit, scarce jobs, and home foreclosures are exerting economic pressure on all Americans. Mr. Lewis discussed the state of the recessionary economy and the housing market, and forecast a recovery timeline.

“Banking on Main Street” was the title of this talk at a meeting of the Executives' Club of Chicago at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. close
