The Institute will fund Hollywood internships for young Italian-Americans interested in pursuing careers in film.

NIAF Special Achievement Awards were presented to: former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani for Public Service; William D. Novelli, CEO of AARP, for Public Advocacy; House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for Public Service; actress Ellen Pompeo in Entertainment; and singer, actor, and entrepreneur Connie Stevens for Humanitarian Service.
