John Norberg talked about the role Purdue University has played in the history of flight and aeronautical engineering in the United States. Mr. Norberg spoke about major aviation events in the country and traced them back to Purdue. The Purdue University School of Aeronautics and Astronautics was formally established in 1945. Purdue and M.I.T. have graduated more astronauts than any other non-military university in the country.
