Mr. Irons, author of May It Please the Court, a book and accompanying audiotape featuring oral arguments in famous cases heard before the Supreme Court since 1955, spoke via satellite link from San Diego to discuss his research that resulted in the book and audiotape. Select portions of the tapes were interspersed between his comments, namely selections from the oral arguments in the Supreme Court case Roe v. Wade on abortion rights. As stated in a letter aired following the interview of Mr. Irons, the current Supreme Court has made its objections to the duplication of the oral arguments clear, and is considering legal action.
