House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Adam Schiff (D-CA) delivered remarks one day after his committee heard testimony on Russian tampering in the U.S. presidential election. He spoke about the United States' role in promoting and protecting democracy around the world. He said America’s established institutions, despite evolving party dynamics and disagreements, should realize and maintain their roles as the world’s democratic ideal, and that the U.S. and its leaders need to work together and counter the activities of Russia and other regimes acting to disrupt the progress of liberal democracies. close
