The hearing was entitled: “Urgent Reform Required: Army Expeditionary Contracting, the Report of the Commission on Army Acquisition and Program Management in Expeditionary Operations.”

The independent Gansler Commission released a report on 10/31/07 that cited weaknesses and organizational flaws in the acquisition and contracting systems used by the U.S. Army in supporting its expeditionary operations. 

The panelists talked about the Commission, its findings, and ways to implement the suggestions into the Army Acquisition procedures.
