The Commission on Wartime Contracting in Iraq and Afghanistan held a hearing on federal government’s efforts to prevent waste, fraud, and abuse in wartime contracting. Witnesses gave examples of fraud contracting cases that were prosecuted within their agencies. Co-Chair Shays criticized the government’s anti-fraud efforts, saying that some cases “are investigated, but few are prosecuted.” close
