Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) spoke at the Spartanburg County Republican Party Martin Luther King Day Dinner. The senator spoke about spending on earmarks, his support of the war in Iraq, and potential solutions to the Iranian nuclear problem. Following his remarks he mingled with the audience. This annual fundraising dinner was held at the Marriott in Spartanburg, S.C.

South Carolina is expected to host the first presidential primary in the South in 2008. Sen. McCain had not announced that he would be running for president in 2008. close
