Chancellor Angela Merkel addressed the German Bundestag on the priorities in the new European Union (EU) treaty. She also talked about her disappointment with the United Kingdom not signing the treaty, but tried to reassure members that it was still a secure partner in the EU. She also admitted that this process will take years to fix and several eurozone countries have made huge steps in trying to fix their respective economies.
