Author Patti Waldmeir spoke about her new book, Anatomy of A Miracle: The End of Apartheid and the Birth of the New South Africa. She talked about her experiences as a journalist in the midst of an unprecedented change from white rule to black rule in South Africa. In her book, she attempted to explain how the blacks and whites grew to trust each other, focusing on F.W. de Klerk and Nelson Mandela. Following her prepared remarks, she took questions from the audience. close
