Participating by remote connection, Archivist of the U.S. John Carlin showed some of the nation’s most important historical documents and talked about the U.S. News and World Report and the National Archives' project asking Americans to vote on which documents they think are the most important and which define us best as a people. Cathy Gorn, Executive Director of National History Day, talked about National History Day and Marvin Kranz, American History Specialist at the Library of Congress, talked about the significance of the documents in U.S. history.
