U.S. Army officials spoke about the role of the military in civil society. Among the topics addressed were the end of the military ban on openly homosexual service known as “don’t as, don’t tell,” Army morale, and incidents of prisoner abuse at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq. They also answered questions from the audience.
