America and the Courts featured a portion of a June 20, 2002 rally sponsored by the Coalition for a Fair Judiciary in support of President Bush’s judicial nominees. Speakers at the rally discussed the status of judicial nominees awaiting hearings before the Senate Judiciary Committee. 

Also, Justice Stephen Breyer delivered an address at the Brandeis University Board of Fellows Commencement breakfast on May 26th. Justice Breyer discussed causes for optimism in today’s world. He was at Brandeis to receive an honorary Doctor of Laws degree. Brandeis University is located in Waltham, Massachusetts.
