Former Senior Editor of Amazon.com, James Marcus, spoke about his book Amazonia: Five Years at the Epicenter of the Dot.com Juggernaut, published by New Press. James Marcus was the company’s 55th employee and one of Amazon’s first editors. In his book, he explains that while he enjoyed his time at the company during the earlier years, as Amazon added more products the content was no longer as important to the company. The author answered questions from the audience after reading portions of the book. close
