Former Commander of the Regional Command East Lieutenant General Daniel Allyn addressed the situation in Eastern Afghanistan. He said there were four key tasks. These included keeping Kabul safe and stabilized. The second was making sure the Afghan National Security Forces had a way to stop outside influences and close the porous Pakistan border. The third task was the establishment of the National Security Force itself and making sure they were sustainable. The fourth task was achieving marked goals. General Jack Keane (Ret.) conducted the interview and moderated questions from the audience. close
