Douglas Hicks spoke about his book, With God on All Sides: Leadership in a Devout and Diverse America. The book is a discussion of how leaders can honor the diverse religious convictions of all Americans. The topic was considered timely by some, given the controversy over PE Obama’s selection of Rick Warren for the inaugural invocation. Following his remarks, Professor Hicks responded to written questions submitted by audience members.

Douglas Hicks is an associate professor of leadership studies and religion in the Jepson School of Leadership Studies and Executive Director of the Bonner Center for Civic Engagement at the University of Richmond. He is author of Religion and the Workplace: Pluralism, Spirituality, Leadership, and Inequality and Christian Ethics. close
