Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Grimes, a Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate seat held by Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY), spoke at the 133rd Annual Fancy Farm Picnic. She remarked on the absence of Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) and that she had more government experience than he. She remarked that if Senator McConnell had a kidney stone, he would refuse to pass it, and inspired parts of the lively bipartisan crowd into chants of “Stop now.”
