Gregory Kutz testified at a hearing on methods used by for-profit colleges to recruit students and coach them to apply for financial aid. He spoke about the results of an undercover investigation that found that recruiters at four of 15 colleges encouraged prospective students to lie on their financial aid applications. The report also found that recruiters at all of the colleges misled potential students about their programs' cost, quality and duration, or the average salary of graduates.
